What is a SkinPen?
SkinPen is the only medical grade FDA approved CE marked device on the market, making it the safest and most effective microneedling device, effective against acne scaring and many other skin conditions. It works by piercing thousands of micro channels into the skin stimulating the skin to produce more collagen.
Who should have the procedure?
Most people are suited, you should not be suffering with an active skin condition, your skin will be assed during consultation.
What can you expect?
Treatment time takes approximately 60 minutes (not including numbing) anaesthetic is applied to reduce any pain. Your skin will be prepared with a deep cleanse we then use the handheld device to gently pass over the area being treated until we reach the desired erythema (redness).
Your skin will be red after the treatment but this should settle within 24 hours
A course of treatments may be recommended. You can add an optional Medik8 bio cellulose face mask to lock in nutrients and moisture.
